Oxford House Community Care manages a busy homecare service across Slough and Windsor & Maidenhead, working with several funding streams and a diverse workforce. With a full council inspection approaching, the team needed to demonstrate compliance across every area, from recruitment and training to medication, safeguarding and care planning. Oxford House achieved 100% compliance in nine out of the ten areas assessed, including training, policies and procedures, care plans and risk assessments, medication, safeguarding, quality assurance and customer feedback. Recruitment and staffing achieved 94%, with the only shortfall caused by a single outstanding staff signature rather than an issue with the quality of care being delivered. The inspector reviewed nine days of medication records and identified zero issues, while staff were able to produce the requested evidence quickly throughout the visit. The Registered Manager’s professionalism was specifically praised, and the inspection was described as a “smooth and well-managed” process.
